Dr. Steve Raabe - Holistic Veterinary Pet Care & Veterinary Acupuncture

There was a time when Dr. Raabe thought holistic veterinary practices and natural pet care techniques weren’t for him. Inspired by a few positive holistic pet care cases, Dr. Raabe enrolled in a veterinary acupuncture course. Veterinary acupuncture opened up new worlds and new roads, leading him to a very gratifying career. Dr. Raabe expanded his holistic veterinary services to include herbal pet remedies in the late 1990s. Possessing these skills makes challenging medical cases particularly enjoyable for him. 1976 University of Illinois Graduate

Dr. Barb Svang – Veterinary Wellness Care & Veterinary Ophthalmology

The Prairie Animal Hospital staff expanded about ten years ago to include Dr. Svang, a talented veterinarian known for her interest in ophthalmology. Starting as a part-time relief veterinarian, Dr. Svang’s reliability, skills, and professionalism led her to a permanent part-time position at Prairie Animal Hospital. Dr. Svang holds a special interest in ophthalmology (eye health and eye care).

Dr. Zelenski is the most recent veterinarian to join Prairie Animal Hospital. Dr. Zelenski enjoys helping clients provide the best care for their pets, especially with his interests in pet dentistry and preventative medicine.
